Congratulations you've passed your driving
test!
Now you can drive on your own at last. But it doesn’t stop
there; this is just the end of the beginning… You can now
purchase the car you've always wanted and have your independence.
However, as a new driver, the cost of insurance could be more than
you have just paid for your first car.
And the reason for this?
Statistics show that new drivers are more likely to have an accident
in the first two years of passing their test than at any other time
in their driving career.
Age doesn’t matter – it’s basically down to
a lack of driving experience.
That’s where PASS PLUS comes in!
By finishing a Pass Plus course and learning new skills you could
save money on your car insurance from a participating insurance
company. A list of these companies is available at www.passplus.org.uk
or by calling 0115 9012633.
What does the course involve?
Pass Plus consists of six modules -
- Town Driving,
- All weather Driving,
- Driving out of Town,
- Night Driving,
- Driving on Dual Carriageways
- Driving on Motorways
Training consists of a minimum of six hours of in-car training
and students must complete all six modules.
The cost of the course is normally less than the money you will
save on your insurance. So you will not only save money but also
improve your driving.
Why take a Pass Plus Course?
Pass Plus will build on the skills that you attained to pass your
driving test. It is more than just a few extra lessons. As well
as gaining further driving experience under expert supervision,
you'll be taught how to deal with situations you may not have faced
before including:
- Driving in fog, rain, snow and ice
- Driving in the dark
- Motorway driving
